This blog is a continually evolving site. I had originally intended it to be a forum for other writers to share. To read some of my stuff and to deposit their own. I'm glad to say that a number of you still come by and look at my writing, but sadly nobody seemed to want to take the plunge and deposit their own literary endeavours. For that reason I am (at least temporarily) no longer inviting writers but will, of course, still welcome your comments and observations - the more the merrier. See also the section 'Titbits from elsewhere' where I occasionally publish bits and pieces I have come across while browsing and which have caught my interest and/or imagination. I have just started a new page about property in France. That is my 'day job' here in the beautiful Charente and as I'm paying to maintain this site I may as well use it commercially. Help me out here, fellow writers.....

Hello,

Welcome to my new blog - yes I know it's one of thousands and why the hell should I carry on reading this and I'm bored and.... WAIT! Don't go away. I've started this blog which may or may not turn into a fully-fledged site because I am a freelance writer trying to earn a few pounds/dollars/euros etc. working from home and only partially succeeding. I'm a trained journalist, and I've been writing the odd poem and a few not very good short stories for many years. I recently joined a US based writing site called Helium. You may well have found this blog through a link there. I think Helium is a good idea with great potential. But what I've earned there in a month would barely feed a mouse for a week. I want this site to encourage others, to encourage myself and together to find the power to make ourselves not only heard, but paid a little for the privilege.

Please look at the menu bar top left of this page to find other pages in this blog site. I'll welcome any ideas, I'll publish your work if I think it's good enough (yes I know but I don't pretend to be a democracy!) and I will even publish YOUR advertising and affiliate links with your bit. That way YOU get the advertising revenue in full, not just a tiny percentage of it.

Please give me your ideas.
