Ways to Scrape a Living

I've been searching around for the past few weeks for ways to scrape a living from home.  If you look at my page on Moving to France, you'll see why.  Moving home always entails getting rid of lots of junk that has accumulated over the years, and some of the 'junk' I have personally accumulated included some family heirlooms which I will never display or use.

I had registered with e-bay some time ago, and by posting and selling several items I've accumulated somewhere in the region of £400 net.  Along the way I have photographed countless objects, some common, some obscure and not being the tidiest soul in this world, still have the images on my hard drive. 1551225-1030163-thumbnail.jpg

Which brings me to the point of other Ways to scrape a living.  I discovered a website called Triond where you can publish writing or photographs and receive a share of advertising revenue.  I had a look through some of the popular images and was a little surprised to note that most of them are objects rather than people or landscapes.  I guess they are the kind of images people can use to sell products.  I've submitted a few and shall see what happens and keep you posted. I am still contributing to Helium where I managed to amass about £20 last month in revenue share and competition prizes, but there are currently no competitions available, and publishers tend to be very slow in selecting their writers.  I could be in for a good windfall or may have wasted my efforts - so frustrating.

I would like to hear from other writers with their experiences of online work and earnings.  Please don't be shy to share your opinions and experiences here, and maybe some more ways to scrape a living?
